and staff appreciate your confidence and trust. We offer the most
modern and expert surgical diagnosis and operative treatments
available. Our general surgery practice encompasses specialty
in abdominal, vascular, thoracic, advanced laparoscopic, oncologic,
breast, and endocrine surgery.

attention to our patients.
Appointments
Our
office hours are Monday through Friday, by appointment between
the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. We are closed for lunch between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm. We also schedule patient visits
at our satellite office in Wake Forest. Please give
us 24 hours notice if you must cancel, so we can free the appointment
for another patient and reschedule you at a more convenient time.
Accessible to you 24 hours a Day
In
the event of an emergency, questions, or concerns, one of our
surgeons is available to you--24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Please call our office if an issue arises. If the office is closed,
our telephone answering service directs your call to the on-call
physician to promptly address your needs and return your call.
Hospitalization
We
maintain medical staff privileges at Duke Health Raleigh Hospital
and Rex Hospital for both inpatient services and same day (outpatient)
surgery. Following your operation, our surgeons work closely as
a team to help assure we efficiently meet your post-surgical needs.
Prior to any surgical procedure, we explain the risks and benefits,
as well as alternative treatment options. If at anytime you feel
unclear as to your condition, progress, or choices, please contact
us.
Post-operative
care
Upon
hospital discharge, we provide post-surgical instructions and
any needed prescriptions. We ask that you address medication refill
requests and non-emergent problems during our office hours. Importantly,
we encourage you to call us with any questions or issues regarding
your surgery and recovery.
Office Surgery
We
perform minor surgical procedures at our Raleigh office on designated
days. We require a separate surgical consultation prior to any
procedure. Our surgical coordinators can assists you with this
process.
